About

Mark Kielty

Mark Kielty is a Dublin based author who writes fantasy, sci-fi, and superhero stories and an Irish book blogger, reviewing his favourite books.

Since 2018, he has been published in four anthologies with his writing group, Cupán Fae.

In 2021, he published his first short comic in an anthology called Turning Roads: Irish Folklore Stories with Limit Break Comics which was listed in the Irish Times best graphic novels of 2021.

His second short comic, The Widow Gamble, was published on irishcomics.ie which was supported by the Dún Laoghaire / Rathdown Arts office.

He was also selected to participate in the Words Ireland National Mentoring Programme 2021 where he had the opportunity to work on his novel under the expert eye of Oisín McGann.

When he’s not writing, Mark plays hurling and volunteers as a basketball coach with the Special Olympics. More recently, he became the social media manager for Octocon, The National Irish Science Fiction Convention.

He’s currently working on his first full length novel which he hopes to finish sometime this century. In the meantime, getting distracted by sci-fi and fantasy books, Netflix, and Marvel movies, is not entirely unwelcome.
